Let’s talk about the full spectrum.

“REPRODUCTIVE FREEDOM IS CRITICAL TO A WHOLE RANGE OF ISSUES. IF WE CAN’T TAKE CHARGE OF THIS MOST PERSONAL ASPECT OF OUR LIVES, WE CAN’T TAKE CARE OF ANYTHING. IT SHOULD NOT BE SEEN AS A PRIVILEGE OR AS A BENEFIT BUT AS A FUNDAMENTAL HUMAN RIGHT.”

Full Spectrum Doulas support people having many different types of reproductive experiences. We are not limited to birth and postpartum.

During the past 8 years I've had the honor of supporting many different individuals and families. Sometimes through birth, abortion, postpartum miscarriage and stillbirth. Other times through mammograms and pap smears. I've supported people trying to conceive and people wanting to prevent conception. As a FSD, I am there for it all.

With reproduction, it's not a one size fits all. I want people to feel empowered by the decisions they make. In our current society we are conditioned to think that babies are the only outcome of a pregnancy. In reality there are so many different outcomes and obstacles present. Sometimes that obstacle can look like a person going through IVF trying to conceive. Other times it can look like someone trying to access a safe, legal abortion. When Faye Wattleton talks about reproductive freedom she says,  "It should not be seen as a privilege or as a benefit but as a fundamental human right." I couldn't agree more. My goal is to help normalize the many different pregnancy experiences by offering support to many different people, circumstances and outcomes.

People deserve to know all their options in order to make an informed decision. Furthermore they need to have access to options. As a doula, I fight alongside people for their right to bodily autonomy. No matter if it's a person having a baby or an abortion. I will stand up and fight for them.

It's unfortunate that I still witness medical abuse. That I still witness providers lying to patients to get what they want. That consent was never taught or grasped within the medical system. There are so many changes that need to be made and policies put into place. In the meantime, call upon a doula for additional support.

We educate.
We inform.
We empower.
We fight for you.
